Improving People's Health 

Your contribution to the Titusville Area United Way helps provide programs that address the needs for mental health services to adults and youth, substance abuse prevention and support services, healthy life-style classes for obese youth, cardiac support for adults, and counseling and education for sexual and domestic violence, as well as bereavement services.

Agency Program Outcome Goal Results You Can See
Hospice Bereavement Services 90% of clients demonstrate increased knowledge & coping skills w/the grieving process-group. Of the 6 participants, 100% have reached outcome goal.
    80% of participating students (Rainbows)  will demonstrate improved coping skills & self esteem. 6 children have reached 100% of their outcome goals.
    90% of mandated bereavement clients will deomonstrate increased skills w/grieving process-individuals 10 clients have reached outcome goals from the counseling sessions.
    90% of memorial service attendees will show postive coping skills/re-investment in life. 107 families reached 100% of their outcome goal.
    90% of mandated clients will demonstrate increased knowledge, coping skills with the grieving process. Of the 21 client groups, 100% reached their outcome goal.
Titusville Health and Aging Center  Energy in Motion Average participants will increase their strength test scores by 5%. 1st qtr. scores will be used as baseline for the rest of year.
    100% of participants will increase their knowledge of excercise with a test score of 75% or greater. Average participant passed test with a score of 93%.
    100% of regular participants will socialize w/other participants.  They will come to the center average 3 days/week  or more. 100% of participants socialized w/others.

Prevention Education Services

75% of participants will gain knowledge about SA/DV issues. 

100% of students attended prgms.  89% completed surveys to test knowledge.

    75% of participants will learn who to tell when faced w/a situation that they don't know how to handle. 86% of students completed surveys to test knowledge of what to do to increase personal safety.
    75% of participants will learn what actions to take to help ensure safety when they or someone they know is in an unhealthy relationship. 73% completed surveys testing who to tell when faced w/a situation they don't know how to handle.
       
PPC Violence Free Network Counseling and Advocacy Services

75% of clients will gain knowledge about what options are available to them and how to access them.

100% of clents rec'd info.  99% reportd a decrease of crisis after rec'g services. 
   

75% of clients will see a positive increase in their self-esteem after attending counseling services.

40% of clents reportd an increase in self-esteem.
    75% of clients will have an increased knowledge about sexual and/or domestic violence. 100% rec'd info from couselor.  34% of clients report an increased knowledge by filling out survey. 
       
Family Services & Children's Aid Society Family Counseling 80% of clients will keep pre-set appointments. 8 of 9 families kept preset app't or 90%.
    80% of clients will see a level of improvement in  preset goals in counseling. 50% of goal of 75 sessions for 12 mos. has been met.
    Client will pick 3 behaviors they wish to change during counseling. Of 9 families, 90% picked 3 behaviors to change.
       
Tsv. Leisure Srs/Tsv. Sr. Citizens Corp. Social Connection - Adult Mental Health Services

Initial:  70% of consumers will report an increased willingness to socialize. 

80% of those surveyed indicated an increase to socialize.

    70% of consumers will take part in 2 community access opportunities a yr. 80% participated in at least 2 community activities this year.
    70% of consumers will report that the program had a direct impact on them being less isolated. 90% of those surveyed reported the DIC had a direct impact on them.
       
Keystone Blind Assoc.  Prevention of Blindness Target audiences are more aware of eye health, safety, conditions & are more likely to get periodic exams. 39 individuals attended eye safety prgms.
    100% of individuals having glasses repaired/cleaned will be educated about the importance of periodic eye exams.  23 senior citizens rec'd services.
    100% of clents screened are notified of results.  Abnormalities are referred to eye dr. 31 children were screened.  30 had normal results & 1 was referred.
