Improving People's Health 

Your contribution to the Titusville Area United Way helps provide programs that address the needs for mental health services to adults and youth, substance abuse prevention and support services, healthy life-style classes for obese youth, cardiac support for adults, and counseling and education for sexual and domestic violence, as well as bereavement services.

Agency Program Outcome Goal Results You Can See
Hospice Bereavement Services 90% of non-Hospice clients demonstrate increased knowledge & coping skills w/the grieving process-group. Not reported to date
    80% of participating students will demonstrate improved coping skills & self esteem.  
    90% of mandated (registered families) will deomonstrate increased skills w/grieving process-individuals  
    90% of memorial service attendees will show postive coping skills/re-investment in life.  
       
Titusville Health and Aging Center  Fitness Hand Strength and Back Flexibility test scores will increase by 5% over a year. Flexibility scores increased by 14.6%.
    100% of participants will be aware of the benefits they will gain from reg. exercise and will pass tests on their knowledge of excercise by 75% or greater. 100% of participants are aware of benefits of exercise. Test scores averaged 94%.
    100% of regular participants will socialize w/other participants.  They will come to the center average 3 days/week  or more.  Of those, 50% of activities outside the home will occur at the Center. Visits to the Center averaged 2.3 days/wk.  Of those, 71% of activities occured at the Center.

Prevention Education Services

75% of participants will gain knowledge about SA/DV issues.

88% of participants gained knowledge about SA/DV issues.  100% attended prgms & 76% completed survey tests. 
    75% of participants will learn what actions to take in order to ensure safety when they or someone they know is in an unhealthy relationship. 86% learnt what actions to take.  100% of students attended prgms & 72% completed surveys testing knowledge.
    75% of participants will learn who to tell when faced w/bullying or internet issues. 100% of students attended prgms & 56% completed surveys testing their knowledge.
    75% of participants will learn who to tell when they are faced with a situation they don't know how to handle. Averaging 88% of students learnt who to tell about a situation they didn't know how to handle. 100% attended prgsm & 75% completed the surveys.
       
PPC Violence Free Network Counseling and Advocacy Services

75% of clients will gain knowledge about what options are available to them and how to access them.

90% of clients completed a service plan.  48% updated a service plan. 
   

75% of clients will see a positive increase in their self-esteem & appropriate coping skills. 

96% reported a decrease level of crisis after rec'g services.  36% reported an increase in self-esteem after rec'g services.
    75% of clients will have an increased knowledge about sexual and/or domestic violence. 100% of clients rec'd info about SA and/or DV w/33% increasing their knowledge.
    75% of clients will communitcate more effectively, set healthy boundaries, & participate in healthy relationships. 76% of clients either updated counseling goals or will rate themselves on proposed goals.
       
Family Services & Children's Aid Society Family Counseling 80% of clients will keep pre-set appointments. 10 of 12 families kept their preset app'ts (83%).
    80% of clients will meet at least 75% of preset goals in counseling. 80% of families (10) met 79% of presest goals in counseling.
    Client will pick 3 behaviors they wish to change during counseling. Of the 12 families, 90% picked 3 behaviors to change. 
       
Tsv. Leisure Srs/Tsv. Sr. Citizens Corp. Social Connection - Adult Mental Health Services

70% of consumers will report an increased willingness to socialize.  They will come to the Center at least 3 days/week.  Of those, at least 35% of their activities outside the home will occur at the Center. 

130 unduplicated clients participated.  83% of consumers indicate they are more willing/able to socialize.  Consumers come to Center 4 day/wk.  42.5% of activities accur at the Center.
    70% of consumers will take part in 2 community access opportunities a yr. 83% participated in at least 2 community access opportunities.
    70% of consumers will report that the program had a direct impact on them being less isolated. 90% reported feeling less isolated.
    75% of SC consumers will feel they gained useful knowledge from community access opportunities. 93% feel they gained useful knowledge.
       
Keystone Blind Assoc.  Prevention of Blindness 100% of target audiences are more aware of eye health, safety, conditions & are more likely to get periodic exams. Not reported to date
    Of the 220 individuals to be served in Tsv., 75% will report improved vision with new glasses.
