Qualifications for the Executive Director of Associated Charities include:

Be a self-starter to maintain continuity of current programs which include (list all) and supervise small staff and volunteers to assure success of said programs.

Prepare agendas and report to the Board of Directors or their designated committees at a minimum of each quarter or as requested by the board. Competency in all Microsoft programs is essential for this position.

Reporting will include (but may not be limited to) the day to day operations of the agency including updates on fiscal matters, personnel and volunteers, building/property and programming.

Maintain fiscal and agency records mandated for annual audits, board meetings and/or other agency funding agreements and designated programs.

Maintain client files per program guidelines.

Handle, sort and determine if non-monetary donations are appropriate for distribution for either sale or   given to clients in need of said items.

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Account for daily receipts of agency sales to the public.

Recruit new staff as needed for the agency, interview those best qualified and recommend the most qualified applicants to the board of directors.

Train personnel in all aspects of the agency and its operations. 

Supervise staff including annual evaluations and handle disciplinary actions as required.

Coordinate volunteers for special projects and daily operations of agency.

Reliable transportation a must

Collaborate as needed with other agencies (United Way and/or outside organizations) to assure the successful operations of the agency’s designated programs. 

Other duties as deemed necessary for the agency’s long term success  

Possess Associate degree from an accredited postsecondary institution in human service field, business (finance, accounting or administration) or related field with two years documented experience preferably in a management and/or case worker position, at a non-profit agency.

Must have all clearances (or can obtain them) relating to FBI fingerprint, criminal background and child abuse prior time of job offer.

 Candidate must be bondable upon hire.

Preferred but not mandated:

Seek potential donors for funding of various projects and programs. 

Grant writing for private, government and other resources to expand agency scope and vision.
