A big "Thank You" goes out to everyone in our community that helped make the "Stuff the Bus' project a success! Through the generosity of many, United Way of the Titusville Region and the Titusville High School Student United Way were able to collect a total of 5,169 school and food items to benefit area students heading back to school. Cash donations were used to supplement the donated items with the purchase of additional back packs, tissues and hand sanitizers for a total of 100 additional items. Donations included: 1,953 pencils, 522 pens, 105 high-lighters, 341 notebooks and 127 three-ring binders/folders. Through the dedication of the THS Student United Way members, flyers were distributed to individuals at the Walmart and Dollar Tree Stuff the Bus locations.
The supplies were distributed by PPC Violence Free Network to Associated Charities, Love INC, Salvation Army, YMCA and YWCA. T
The THS Student United Way visited all six buildings within the Titusville Area School District to distribute items for students and classroom supplies for teachers, including tissues and hand sanitizers.
